Puzzlewood is a wooded attraction in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, known for its winding paths, moss-covered rocks, steep-sided ravines, and ancient-looking woodland scenery. The site covers a compact area where footpaths pass between limestone outcrops, tree roots, bridges, and natural rock formations. Its unusual landscape has made it a distinctive destination within the Forest of Dean, while its setting near the village of Coleford places it within a wider area of forests, valleys, and former mining communities.

Puzzlewood has a long association with local woodland traditions and the historic landscape of the Forest of Dean. The surrounding forest was valued for timber and minerals, particularly iron ore and coal, and evidence of this industrial past can be found throughout the wider area. Within Puzzlewood itself, visitors encounter features such as the Roman Mine, a former mine working incorporated into the woodland paths. The site's name reflects the maze-like character of its routes, which wind through narrow passages and around rocks rather than following a simple straight trail.

The woodland's main attraction is its landscape of twisting paths, rock formations, ravines, and dense vegetation. Bridges cross narrow streams and gullies, while sections of the trail pass beneath tree canopies and between moss-covered limestone walls. Puzzlewood has also been used as a filming location, with its distinctive scenery appearing in productions including Doctor Who and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Beyond the attraction, the wider Forest of Dean offers extensive walking and cycling routes, with destinations such as Symonds Yat providing views across the River Wye and surrounding wooded hills.

Puzzlewood does not have a distinctive local cuisine of its own, but visitors can experience foods associated with the Forest of Dean and Gloucestershire in nearby villages and towns. The area is known for local cider, cheeses, meats, and produce from farms across the county. One of Puzzlewood's more unusual features is its connection with folklore and popular imagination: the maze-like woodland has often been described as resembling an enchanted forest, while its combination of natural rock formations and dense vegetation has provided a setting for fantasy and adventure productions. The attraction also contains a small collection of domestic and farm animals.
